Small Rosa roxburghii big dream looks not amazing but brings rolling money

This is the story of Lin Yongbing, a farmer in group 4, ningle village, Yuehua Township, Xichang City, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, who has been grinding a sword for ten years. He built a wild Rosa roxburghii plantation in Liangshan to develop the Rosa roxburghii industry. At the end of May, the author visited his Rosa roxburghii plantation.

For many years, wild Rosa roxburghii has grown all over the mountains in Liangshan Prefecture. No one thought it was a baby, and no one thought that the contracted barren mountains would be used to grow Rosa roxburghii. Lin Yongbing became a crab eater.

In 2003, he tried to plant Rosa roxburghii Tratt. Wild Rosa roxburghii can be fertilized and irrigated, with luxuriant growth, no insects and diseases, and numerous fruits. This strengthened Lin Yongbing's determination to plant Rosa roxburghii.

He expanded the planting area year by year, bred good varieties and eliminated secondary varieties. By 2012, five high-quality varieties with high yield, good quality, beautiful appearance and large size have been selected, and the planting scale has developed to 270 mu, of which 220 Mu has been bearing fruit, and more than 100 mu has entered the high-yield period. The highest yield per plant is more than 70 Jin, with an average of 30 jin, and each Jin is 7 to 8 yuan. Last year, 30000 Jin was sold and the income was more than 200000 yuan.

Lin Yongbing's Rosa roxburghii products are not only sold locally in Xichang, but also based in major cities such as Chengdu and Chongqing. His products were also exhibited at the Western China International Expo.

In order to drive the villagers to get rich together, Lin Yongbing selflessly gave the good varieties he cultivated to the members to plant. Rosa roxburghii has also been planted in Lizhou town of Xichang City and Lugu town of Mianning County.

On May 11, Mr. Yu Heming, a 75 year old retired senior agronomist and deputy director of Liangshan Fruit Development Research Institute, visited Lin Yongbing's Rosa roxburghii ecological park to do scientific research. According to them, the Institute plans to use the experience accumulated in Leibo raspberry industry to contact large companies to carry out Rosa roxburghii export, deep processing and other businesses, so as to increase the added value of planting Rosa roxburghii and increase the income of farmers.
